Stuck In Traffic

Leaped into the front right seat, fastening the seat belt,

in the car, like a Duke, enthusiastic I felt.

To meet my buddies of childhood times,

almost a decade, to commit a series of offensive crime.

My fortune, I left, at my domicile, the day.

Each crossing, every signal, warned me to stay.

Few miles away, the jam I could smell.

No left, no right, there was no way I could flee.

Therein, entered a tortoise race,

the vehicles moved at a very slow pace.

Motor buses, autos, taxis and cars descended into the chaos,

One after the other, lined wavily, making vexatious noises.

Grumpy, crabby, restless I was, the situation, harsh to bear.

Wished to escape, or to sleep in  there, none I could spare.

Nearly three strounds, barely few meters we impelled.

The plan,to meet pals, had surely been cancelled.

Sometimes later, gradually, the jam fainted .

It was all because ,ahead was a truck accident.

Relieved were all, those stuck in traffic.

Toomed the place, I was left in tragic.

Rang my phone, the moment I sighed.

Still waiting my pals, inspite, their schedule was tight.

Finally, expounded them,all that happened.

Aggrouped once again, my promise wasn’t fakened.
