Stock Them Up

Twenty -twenty, a year to stock up,
and even lock up .
To hold goods for the unborn moments,
when millions die without food.
Thousands relax leading to foment,
few starve to unaffordable loot.

The year to restore,
even more and much more.
To keep the medicines aside to survive,
many agonized the pain for sure.
Some ambushes the ailment to arrive,
where, few decease because of no cure.

The year to pile up,
for miles to come.
To even secure oxygen cylinders,
anticipating further bad phase to come.
Packed hospitals with sick and doctors,
the ongoing era, a menace in sum.

A year to accumulate,
for the worst state.
Stock the goods to avail oneself,
readily steadily when one would need.
But one in need is deprived of pelf.
Why should we store? Let the victims feed.

The year twenty -twenty one,
is placed at the tip of the gun.
To guide many, to change few,
to inundate mass of crisis.
Striding ahead without any clue,
‘Just stock them’ up beside us.
