MASKED CONNECTION

MASKED  CONNECTION

Honesty to self is lost,
When you lie beneath the mask.
Faceless, classless, for the task.
Insecurity, to be rejected,
To be not accepted .
pretending to be someone,
Fake identity for anonymity .
A subconscious behaviour,
to hide their true selves.

They appear falsely kind,
motive of their own.
But for how long?
People aren’t blind.
Beginning to lose connections,
the worst situation,
they ever get into.
We are all wearing a mask,
forgetting our real selves .
Pretending to please the crowd,
saying yes to “ yes” and no to “No”
To be appreciated and honoured,
For being incredibly favoured.
By the one , also in mask.
Yes we are all masked.

Real then becomes difficult,
when all are faking in front.
In the race of becoming perfect,
when all are imperfectly great instead.
At a time, when each one breaks,
Left in solitude, in long duration,
with no genuine connections.
