The lighted lamps arranged in rows,
the darkest night is hidden behind the glow.
The day when Rama is said to have returned,
On concluding his exile of fourteen years.
The delighted hearts welcomed him home,
With laden contentment, he was placed back on the throne.
Since yonks,we proceed with the same stretch,
Lighted with greetings to prosper ahead.
Finest attire, exchange of sweets,
makes the day unique, with a grand feast.
The sparkling crackers, the beautiful lights,
all makes the festival, colourful and bright.
The illuminated buildings and houses in thousands.
The lights line the street, extending the range of vision.
Lakshmi, the prime goddess of the occasion,
enters only the houses with clean decoration.
The lit up surroundin is built to express,
“The victory of light over darkness”.
Happy Diwali
