Unfavoured ,to be crowned
He was bound,
to leave his place,
to win the horse race.
Across the seas,
favoured to be.
Away from home, all unknown.
Miles apart, to reside .
In the long run to go.
Amongst the strangers,
Amidst ‘black culture’.
To prove, to gain,
to achieve, to attain.
Teary eyes yet faith within.
Happiness inside but fear to fly.
He left with grace,
Not showing his face.
Stuts his kins, his loved ones.
It’s just a matter of few months.
Strong through mind, when heart is weak.
Adamant ,determined to reach the peak,to lead.
Away from home, he goes all alone.
His journey begins,
to cover up all the ruins.
