EERIE

On the ground floor,

I lay on the couch,

when I heard a quiet shout.

A scream in dream I felt.

A voice of noise could discern.

Frivolous it was.

I claimed !

The other four companions were afraid.

It was ‘2’ at night.

Sweaty in fright.

Shending one another,

Instead of uniting together.

Again a loud cry !

We wanted to escape.

For the very first time,

reminisced all senior citizens energy,

to beshield us from evil.

Our religious Mantra,never before,

Was chanted on the speakers,

with loud roar.

One night stay for fun,

was at the trigger of the gun.

We held each other,

with all the lights on.

Waiting for the dawn to arrive.

As heard,

ghosts don’t appear in light.

It was then ‘5’.

Suddenly witnessed the sky.

Changing its colour to blue.

We had no clue.

How beautiful it looked.

A sigh of relief !

We left for ‘home sweet home’,

seemed never long gone.

Eerie ,that was hired,

Once had been a graveyard.
