What a relief

She ascended the stairs towards the door,
where she resided alone on the top floor.
After a long hectic day ,almost drenched in sweat,
What she needed was excessive rest.

The last few days had been scorching heat.
Wished a small relief from god in treat.

And suddenly heard was, roaring of clouds.
Uttering, murmuring in dreadful sound.

Warning the people to take precautions.
Dripping of water started in slow motion.

Sound of every water drop was heard pouring.
She sat under the shed revitalising, and often snoring.

She did not want to escape, this view of natural cleansing.
Stuck to her couch, without hiatus, the moment she had been waiting.

The black night was accompanied by heavy shower.
She lay there like a dead, unaffected, in profound pleasure.

The velocity of rain could be derived easily.
It rattled the tiles, continued sloppily.

She opened her eyes right with the sunshine.
All her exertion diminished and she felt quite fine.

The sun was out like a lion from its den,
With a diadem of lights, in colour golden.

The day looked reformed, fresh and clean.
All the dust got dissolved in the drops of rain.

What a relief she felt , to see the morning bloom again,
Unwind herself for the next hours, the night she spent didn’t go vain.
