The lady behind the ‘pardah’

I fear the thought of ever being behind the pardah,
In the form of ghunghat, veil or burqa.

A system favouring one gender and throttling the other,
Women are the victim, sheltered are brothers.

How can our system be so biased?
Men desire pretty wives who should also be gracious.

But what’s the point?, They cannot be seen,
Doesn’t matter, they wear saree ,suit or jeans.

They are covered from top to toe,
How do they look nobody knows.

Their unfolded dreams, freedom controlled.
This kind of humiliation is even trolled.

All behind pardah look alike.
Do you consider this system to be right?

Their need for apparels, shoes, ornaments are same.
But all are covered behind, how could the system be so lame !

Women have wings too, they too wish to fly.
They aspire to live a freely, they aren’t born to cry.
